Matchbox Strikes at Aussie Sentiment

Jeremy Singer | 05.02.2008

When the recent leg of the sold out Matchbox Twenty Exile on Mainstream world tour hit Australia the band decided to include some Aussie favourites as they toured the country and the Australian audiences loved it.

In Melbourne they did Crowded House's "Better Be Home Soon", in Adelaide INXS's "Need You Tonight” and a guitar/ ukulele rendition of AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" in Perth. And at the final show at the Tempest Two Winery in NSW’s Hunter Valley they did a rock version of Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head”.

But they also played the hit songs that people had come to hear from the bands 4 multi platinum selling albums “Yourself Or Someone Like You”, “Mad Season”, “More Than You Think You Are” and “Exile on Mainstream”.
